Join us this Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service for a day of action and community impact! Together, we’ll honor Dr. King’s legacy by caring for Oakland’s environment and uplifting our neighborhoods through hands-on service

Palo Alto MLK Day of Service
Join Youth Community Service (YCS) and the City of Palo Alto for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Gathering on Monday, January 19.2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mitchell Park Community Center in Palo Alto. This free community event features youth-driven service opportunities, live music, inspirational presentations, food trucks, and local organizations. All are welcome to honor Dr. King’s legacy through service and celebration.

MLK Day of Service, Mitzvah Day 2025
Join us on Sunday, January 19 and Monday, January 20 for two days of service. Bring your friends and family to work together on various fun and meaningful projects to bring to life Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s inspirational legacy of community service, justice and equality for all. Mitzvah day will be held in person at the Oshman Family JCC, Gideon Hausner Day School, Los Altos United Methodist Church and other satellite locations.

San Francisco MoAD's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Free Community Day
MoAD will celebrate the national observance of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday as a Day of Service, providing FREE admission to the museum and programs throughout the day. Through art, performance and music, our special guests will help us reflect on the importance of protest, creativity and diverse communities.

Santa Rosa MLK Day of Service
Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks is hosting a clean-up at Martin Luther King Jr. Park (1208 Hendley St.), where volunteers can help beautify this neighborhood park through tasks such as picking up litter, spreading mulch, weeding and more. Tools and light refreshments will be provided. Bring your family and friends - we'll see you there!
